What are we seeking?

Business Development Manager

Placement: Jakarta

 The BD Manager is accountable for proactively sourcing new prospects, opportunities and relationships, through the form of a maintained BD strategy, resulting in higher-profile and more lucrative engagements in the Greater Jakarta market and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition: Engage with Enterprise clients to understand their needs, showcase our agencys capabilities, and tailor solutions that align with our vision.

  • Client Relationship Building: Foster and nurture strong, long-term relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are continually met and exceeded.

  • Proposal & Pitch Development: Collaborate with our creative and technical teams to develop compelling presentations, and workshops with prospective clients. This serves as a new form of an early Discovery product.

  • Referral Development: Leverage existing relationships to obtain referrals and introductions to potential clients.

  • Networking: Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and seminars, ensuring our brand remains top-of-mind in the industry. Leverage existing personal network and combine it with JBs network to ensure a clear and consistent representation of the brand in-market. 

  • Feedback Integration: Work closely with internal teams to communicate client feedback, ensuring projects align with client expectations.

  • Strategic Feedback: Monitor market demand and sentiment with respect to our capabilities and offering, feeding back into the business to inform continuous improvement and evolution of our value proposition.

  • BD Strategy & Reporting: Continually refine our sales approach based on market feedback and manage client prospects and conversions in HubSpot.

  • Client onboarding: ensure that internal teams are briefed thoroughly to meet and exceed incoming (and ongoing) client expectations. Maintain an understanding of client expectations and periodically cross check this against deliverables. 

  • Management & Reporting: As and when it becomes appropriate, manage and report on subordinate BD staff performance in the greater Jakarta market. Maximize productivity of subordinate staff to align with responsibilities outlined above. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Client Acquisition: Number of new clients prospects onboarded monthly/quarterly/yearly.

  • Relationship Depth: Regularity and quality of interactions with existing and potential clients.

  • Referral Rate: Number of new leads and clients sourced from referrals and agency marketing efforts.

  • Proactive Engagement & Event Attendance: Number of meaningful connections made in line with potential business opportunities, including relevant industry events attended.

  • HubSport Reporting: Positive and consistent reportable trends within CRM to validate the above KPIs.
