Coating Advisor - Batam

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Jotun is expanding rapidly in Indonesia and seeking a dynamic professional to strengthen Technical Service Support department as the Technical Service or Coatings Advisor.

The successful candidate will work independently as a coating advisor, attending projects within Performance coatings and/ or Decorative Projects and provide professional technical service to the customers by ensuring the correct application of paints, monitoring and supervision of the painting progress are carried according to agreed specification and contracts, in order to prevent claims and customer satisfaction is achieved.

Were currently recruiting one person in Batam, Indonesia. This position will be reporting to the Technical Service Area Leader - West.

Responsibilities:     

• Give clear instructions to clients and relevant Jotun staff on paint application by working on site with relevant client representatives to ensure the coating specification is met and in accordance with customer expectation.
• Carry out inspections of a specific project assigned to you by your direct manager by working independently, following the ITP and working procedures in order ensure that the product is applied in accordance with the specification
• Write relevant reports by compiling data from inspections in order to document that the specification inspection criteria have been meet

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

Required

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Construction, Marine, Chemical, Metallurgy) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the related field as Technical Service for Performance Coatings and/or Decorative Projects
• Good command of English (both oral or written) & Indonesian
• Domicile & able to relocate to Batam area

Preferred

• Energetic, analytic, eager to learn and enjoy high mobility
• CCA/ AMPP / FROSIO certified
