About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cosmetic Purchasing Manager to join our team at PT Shangyang Technology Indonesia. As a full-time position based in Cikupa, Banten, this role will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities related to our cosmetic product lines. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials to support our manufacturing operations.

What youll be doing

  • Developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies to meet the companys cosmetic production requirements
  • Sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and other cosmetic-related components
  • Monitoring and analysing market trends, pricing, and availability of materials to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Collaborating with the production and inventory teams to forecast and plan for future purchasing needs
  • Ensuring timely delivery of purchased materials and maintaining optimal inventory levels
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier diversification
  • Providing regular reports and analysis on purchasing activities, performance, and metrics
  • Supervising and mentoring the purchasing team to drive efficiency and continuous improvement

    • What were looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the cosmetics or FMCG industry
  • Strong understanding of the cosmetic manufacturing process and the associated supply chain dynamics
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and inventory management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different functions
  • Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
