At Eni , we are looking for a Drilling Superintendent (Shorebase) within Eni Muara Bakau B.V. in Indonesia . You will be responsible for ensuring that all drilling activities comply with the allocated time and cost budgets, adhering to Company requirements, HSEQ standards and best petroleum engineering practices. You will coordinate, direct and review drilling operations within the defined drilling programs and budget, aiming to achieve the best results in terms of safety, time and cost-effectiveness. Operations may be performed in remote locations, both onshore and offshore environments. This is a rotational position that requires periodic site visits to oversee operations directly.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities :
- Conduct morning calls and review morning reports from the drilling rigs with the Drilling Supervisor at the rig site and the Operations Drilling Engineer.
- Communicate effectively with the Drilling Supervisor and Operations Drilling Engineer to ensure that all technical specifications of the Drilling Program and Drilling Manual are met.
- Review the drilling program to ensure the plan is done in accordance with the Companys procedures, considering each operation with particular attention to well integrity and operational safety.
- Conduct meetings throughout the term of the contracts with service providers to increase the efficiency of the service and help reduce or eliminate any potential problems.
- Provide technical troubleshooting when problems occur on the drilling rig, and be ready to go on board for operations issues or HSE investigations.
- Monitor drilling expenditures on a daily basis with the goal of drilling the most cost-effective wells possible.
- Review short-term equipment planning with the Operations Drilling Engineer, Drilling Supervisors and the Material & Logistics Coordinator to ensure timely equipment arrivals and avoid rig standby.
- Coordinate with Material & Logistics and Well Site Drilling Supervisor for the timely arrival of drilling equipment and services on the wellsite.
- Perform rig site inspections and audits at contractors base facilities.
- Liaise with the rig contractor in planning the rig moving and the rig maintenance activity on the safety-critical elements. Routinely visit the site and perform contractor audits.
- Participate as a member of the emergency task force in the event of a major emergency, taking immediate actions to safeguard personnel, assets and the environment.
- Ensure lessons learned and related recommendations are captured and shared to allow for the improvement of future operations.
Skills and experience required :
- Bachelors Degree.
- Extensive experience in Drilling & Completion Operations, including significant time spent as a D&C Superintendent.
- Significant experience in subsea operations.
- Drilling Operations (Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids and Cement).
- Advanced Drilling: Lean Profile, Underbalanced Drilling, HPHT Drilling, Managed Pressure Drilling, Extended Reach Drilling, Wellbore Stability.
- Completion and Work-over Operations (Well Testing, Gravel Pack, Well Stimulation).
- Advanced Completion: Dual Completion, Intelligent Completion.
- Rigless Operations.
- Economics: Skills in Cost Analysis and Cost Control.
- Software Proficiency: Good knowledge of the main available software in the market for well data management and reporting.
- Digitalization: Familiarity with the digitalization process, including Real-Time Monitoring, rig site drilling packages for performance optimization and rig automatization processes.
- HSE Team Leader.
- Emergency Management.
- Basic knowledge of Lifting Operations.
- Required certificates: Well Control Level 4 (IWCF or IADC) and Fire Fighting and BOSIET and Rescue.
