Engineering Manager

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
• Fifteen (15) years relevant experience in the Oil/Gas industry including minimum of Ten (10) years of senior Engineering Management experience in oil/gas projects ideally refineries or petrochemical sector.
• Petrochemical Site Construction experience including strong understanding of HSSEQ management is mandatory
• Start up and Operational experience from a refinery or petrochemical facility is required
• Knowledge of prevailing project management tools and software
• Risk awareness and management of construction and commissioning risks associated with hydrocarbons is mandatory
• Strong understanding of change management processes, experience with cost control software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Engineering & Maintenance Management experience from Refining / Chemical Manufacturing industry
• Engineering Management from reputable EPC Contractor is an advantage

Job Description:

• Design & Engineering Standards: Develop BoD and Engineering Standards in collaboration with business and operational needs.
• Engineering Standards Development: Support FEED Contractor in creating engineering standards, incorporating licensor requirements and lessons learned.
• Design & Engineering Reviews: Set up review structures for critical documents (e.g., PFD, P&ID, HAZOP) and ensure thorough participation in reviews.
• Procurement Services: Ensure the technical completeness of Material Requisitions and assist in vendor selection, ensuring QA compliance.
• Field Engineering/Construction Support: Establish site team and procedures to support EPC Contractors in quality-driven site engineering activities.
• Construction & Pre-Commissioning: Support site team and EPC interfaces to ensure project progression aligns with specifications.
• Reporting: Structure concise weekly/monthly reports on all project engineering activities per PT ESSAs internal reporting framework.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks, propose mitigation measures, and drive risk management initiatives.
• Project Close-Out: Support turnover and close-out activities, including as-built documentation.
• Communication: Regular communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate engineering activities and share O&M lessons learned.
