About the role

As the Head Chef at BOX N JAR, you will lead a talented kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our kitchen operations at our North Jakarta location. You will work closely with the restaurant management team to ensure consistent, high-quality food preparation and delivery.

What youll be doing

  • Plan and oversee the preparation of all menu items, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Manage and train the kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing mentorship to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop new menu items and implement seasonal changes to keep the offerings fresh and innovative
  • Maintain strict control over food costs and inventory to maximise profitability
  • Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding customer experience

    • What were looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
  • Formal culinary training and a recognised chefs qualification
  • Exceptional cooking skills with a proven track record of creating innovative, delicious dishes
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities to inspire and guide a kitchen team
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • A passion for using high-quality, fresh ingredients and a commitment to food safety
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen to manage kitchen budgets
