We are seeking an experienced, strategic HR Manager to guide the overall Human Resources function, creating a world-class workplace and fostering a thriving, sustainable organizational culture. Based at our head office in Sanur, Bali, the HR Manager will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with other leadership teams.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an HR Manager, with a proven ability to lead and implement HR initiatives effectively.
  • A seasoned HR leader with a track record of shaping and executing high-impact HR strategies across diverse regions.
  • Someone passionate about the eco-tourism sector and committed to driving sustainable travel solutions in a global, multicultural environment.
  • A results-driven, visionary individual with a deep understanding of organizational dynamics and talent development.
  • An excellent communicator with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • A strategic thinker who thrives on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • A creative problem solver with a forward-thinking approach to HR trends, technology, and workforce solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, labour laws, regulations and procedures.
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to navigate complex cross-cultural environments.

What will your tasks be?

  • HR Strategy & Organizational Development: Lead the development and implementation of long-term HR strategies that align with business goals, focusing on optimizing talent management, succession planning, and overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee HR compliance, ensuring adherence to labor laws and best practices across all regions of operation. Develop policies that protect the organization and promote fairness and equity in the workplace.
  • Leadership & Culture Transformation: Drive initiatives to shape and reinforce the company culture, fostering an inclusive and high-performance environment. Partner with senior leaders and People and Office Manager to enhance employee engagement and leadership development.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Collaborate with the People and Office Manager to define workforce needs and ensure alignment with strategic business goals. Ensure that recruitment strategies are aligned with company values and attract top-tier talent.
  • Employee Experience & Retention: Implement initiatives that elevate employee experience, foster long-term loyalty, and ensure Happy Trails is a top choice for talent retention. Work with the People and Office Manager to ensure employee satisfaction programs are aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Compensation & Benefits Strategy: Provide strategic oversight for compensation and benefits planning in collaboration with People and Office Manager and Finance Manager, ensuring competitive pay structures and benefits that support recruitment and retention efforts.
  • HR Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Leverage HR data and analytics to monitor trends, assess the effectiveness of programs, and drive continuous improvements in HR processes. Track employee performance metrics, engagement, and well-being.
  • Leadership Coaching & Development: Provide coaching to senior leaders, guiding them on effective talent management and leadership strategies. Establish tailored development programs to cultivate high-potential leaders across the company.
