Lead Planner

We are currently seeking a Lead Planner, reporting directly to Head of Project Services Department to join our team based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

About the role:

  • Preparation of an Integrated Overall Project Execution Schedule for FEED and EPCI. Enable identification of key activities, overall duration of the WORK, and critical work sequences to allow for timely and successful delivery of the WORK. 
  • Updating the integrated Schedule on a regular basis for progress reporting. 
  • Performing schedule risk analysis as necessary. 
  • Developing project interface schedules to report the status of interfaces. 
  • Developing and maintaining the overall project progress reporting system and coordinating with the team. 
  • Participate in regular risk reviews. 
  • Co-ordinating activities to ensure overall alignment on project priorities and interests in order to avoid conflicts. 
  • Making recommendations to Project Controls Manager in relation to any specialist input that may be required.
  • Increases Project team members awareness of the Project Milestones, main durations and critical paths
  • Monitors and controls the project status, to detect any delay and to propose corrective actions
  • Estimates the delay linked with changes and claims and to prepare the Extension of Time analysis, in case of delay due to Client
  • Provides Project Feedback and Lessons Learned in order to improve the Planning & Scheduling methods and provide input to the statistics of Planning Department
  • Acts as single point of accountability for all planning & scheduling activities on a project 

About you:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the same capacity. 
  • Hands-on experience of using project control systems and procedures supported by current software applications (Primavera P6) 
  • Knowledgeable in computer planning and spreadsheet softwares (Ms. Excel, Ms. Word, Ms. Powerpoint) 
  • Technical professional with experience and knowledge of project controls functions in the oil and gas or petro-chemical industries. 
  • Proven record in the provision of planning and scheduling services for world-wide projects for a major engineering contractor. 
  • Hands-on experience of using project control systems and procedures supported by current software applications (Primavera v6, PertMaster (Primavera Risk Analysis), etc.) 
  • Good understanding about industry standards in planning and scheduling 
  • Good knowledge to develop project summary timeline 
  • Good knowledge of contract project control requirements and project control procedures
  • Good knowledge of progress measurement systems and earned value analysis 
  • Good knowledge of KPIs and reporting system
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Able to present data and fact in a clear and consistent manner
  • Fluency in English
