Planning Officer

Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.

We are seeking a Planning Officer to execute production planning processes, ensuring material availability, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role serves as a key interface between production, buyer, and logistics functions to support on-time delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production orders based on customer forecasts.

• Control and adjust the loading plan to balance demand and production capacity.

• Review customer forecasts regularly and apply level-loading to optimize resource utilization.

• Run and manage the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to ensure timely procurement of raw materials.

• Coordinate with Buyer and Warehouse teams to ensure raw material readiness and availability.

• Prioritize production orders based on customer requirements and delivery commitments.

• Monitor and track work orders to ensure timely and accurate completion of production activities.

• Manage inventory levels of Finished Goods (FG), Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Raw Materials to support production continuity and cost control.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Buyer, Quality, and Logistics to resolve planning-related issues and improve operational alignment.

• Support and initiate continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy and on-time delivery.

• Responsible to comply with procedure related with quality, environment, heath, and safety management system throughout planning process.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelors Degree, preferred in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

• Strong data analysis skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and demand planning.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent English communication skill.
