Position Title: SAP S/4HANA Project Manager

Overview:

We’re looking for a seasoned Program Manager with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA RISE to spearhead a large-scale digital transformation within the retail sector. The role centers on managing a cloud-hosted SAP S/4HANA RISE deployment on AWS, blending strong technical acumen with sector-specific knowledge and modern implementation methodologies such as the Bluefield™ approach, Fiori enablement, and clean core extensibility. This is a leadership role for someone who has hands-on experience integrating SAP with AWS-native services and driving value through SAP’s latest innovations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle SAP S/4HANA RISE implementations on AWS, aligning outcomes with retail business objectives and cloud strategies.
• Drive Bluefield™-based migration strategies to facilitate both legacy system transformation and activation of essential S/4HANA innovations.
• Champion SAP Fiori deployment—from configuration and role assignment to custom tile development and end-user adoption planning.
• Promote a clean core strategy by leveraging SAP BTP, embedded Steampunk, and key-user extensibility tools instead of modifying the S/4HANA core.
• Deliver comprehensive integration of SAP Retail, SAP CAR, and SAP F&R, including seamless connectivity with eCommerce platforms, POS systems, and logistics partners.
• Manage real-time integrations with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway via the AWS ABAP SDK and secured APIs.
• Lead initiatives for data migration, data quality improvement, and harmonization of master data to support real-time retail operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain, Merchandising, Store Operations, Pricing, and Warehouse Management.
• Oversee key project phases including testing (SIT, UAT), cutover execution, go-live planning, and post-launch stabilization (hypercare).
• Act as the primary liaison among internal teams, external consultants, AWS partners, and third-party vendors.
• Monitor and manage project KPIs, financials, risk logs, and change initiatives.
• Facilitate end-user training and change management strategies to ensure strong solution adoption and sustained transformation success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Successfully led at least two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA programs, including deployments on RISE with AWS in a retail setting.
• Strong background in Bluefield™ migrations and deployment of core S/4HANA innovations like Universal Journal, Advanced ATP, and Business Partner conversion.
• Hands-on experience with key SAP solutions: SAP Retail, SAP CAR, SAP F&R, with integration across MM, SD, FI/CO, and EWM modules.
• Proven capability in connecting SAP systems with AWS tools via REST/SOAP APIs and cloud-native services.
• Deep understanding of SAP Fiori—its architecture, configuration, customization, and security model.
• Demonstrated application of clean core practices through SAP BTP and extensibility frameworks.
• Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum methodologies is a strong advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Comfortable managing multi-vendor landscapes and complex project portfolios.
• Bachelors degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
