Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Senior Aftermarket Services Representative in Jakarta, Indonesia. The incumbent will be responsible to drive revenue and profitable growth for the aftermarket business (including parts, service and solutions) in line with the organizations expectations.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver the Resource Industries (mining) aftermarket business plan for the assigned territory

  • Analyse and identify opportunities for growth using a data driven approach. Hands on with latest technologies to make sound business decisions from meta data.

  • Develop innovative solutions in collaboration with dealers to drive profitable growth for Caterpillar, based on deep understanding of the customer requirement, market forces including competition, product and service capability

  • Drive key account management strategies and principles to identify and grow customer accounts in collaboration with dealers

  • Develop and help implement effective marketing strategies to drive the “Value Selling” approach at dealerships

  • Optimize parts sales variance (budget) utilization within assigned budget to drive incremental top line revenue and deliver business plan with superior return on investment

  • Take a leadership role in driving regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensure implementation of corrective actions where needed

  • Lead the implementation of Caterpillars strategic initiatives and drive local actions to deliver profitable growth

  • Experienced with use of CRM and effective use of sales funnel management to drive sales execution

  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improving aftermarket solutions sales management, marketing and operational capabilities at dealers in the mining segment

  • Keep up to date with mining industry trends, changing technology and market regulations in countries covered

What You Have:

Industry Knowledge: Sound knowledge in the mining spare parts business.

  • Demonstrated experience within a mining, heavy industrial or aftermarket industry (parts products, service offerings, solution offerings)

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position.

Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

  • Works to achieve win-win in negotiations, rather than taking a win-lose approach.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Communicates to clients regarding expectations of all parties.

  • Participates in negotiating the terms of the business relationship.

Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.

  • Assists in developing new geographical areas for the organizations products or services.

  • Demonstrated sales, dealer development, repair options, aftermarket and/or product support experience

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service value and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.:

  • Acquires and retains customers in multiple settings using value selling techniques.

  • Qualifies sales prospects based on a clear understanding of customer business needs and the service companys determined ability to meet those needs.

  • Solicits feedback from the customer community as a valued service provider.
