Senior Category Manager
We are looking for a high-caliber and motivated individual to join our team focused on helping retail pharmacies.
Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement data-driven category strategies
Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking
Product Selection, Assortment & Pricing
Lead end-to-end product selection and assortment planning
Determine and regularly review pricing strategies
Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure proper product placement and category representation
Supplier Management & Commercial Negotiations
Build and maintain strong relationships with principal suppliers, brand owners, and manufacturers to drive mutual growth
Conduct regular business reviews with key partners and ensure alignment
Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis
Track and analyze category performance metrics
Develop and present insights, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management
Marketing & Trade Activation
Partner with the marketing and trade marketing teams to design and implement category-focused promotional campaigns
Manage in-store and digital merchandising initiatives
Ensure that product launches, campaigns, and activations align with category priorities and consumer communication strategy
Innovation & Product Development
Identify and evaluate opportunities for new product introductions, line extensions, and category innovation
Stay engaged with consumer trends and global category developments to bring fresh ideas and insights to the business
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, consumer shifts, competitor activities, and technological advancements
Monitor and ensure all category-related activities comply with healthcare regulations, product standards, and company policies
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field
5+ years in Space Planning, Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Facilities Management, with a preference for experience in healthcare, retail, or pharmacy environments
Proven experience in negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers or principals
Strong knowledge of retail merchandising practices, category performance metrics, and healthcare product segments
Knowledge of retail trends and consumer behavior in the healthcare market
Experience with project management and execution of merchandising plans
Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Able to communicate effectively in English
