Staff Procurement (Technical Purchasing) AHTS

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the procurement of goods and services for AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessel operations, including spare parts, safety equipment, and marine logistics.

  2. Receive and process Purchase Requests (PR) from the Technical Department, including Superintendents, Chief Engineers, and Captains.

  3. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) to vendors and suppliers.

  4. Conduct negotiations on pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines in accordance with company policies.

  5. Monitor and ensure the timely delivery of goods, including coordination of logistics to ports or vessel docking locations.

  6. Coordinate with logistics teams, port agents, and other departments to ensure smooth distribution of items.

  7. Prepare regular procurement reports on order status, outstanding items, and budget realization.

  8. Evaluate vendor performance and maintain positive supplier relationships.

  9. Maintain accurate and complete procurement documentation in compliance with audit and ISO/ISM quality standards.

  10. Operate the companys ERP or e-Procurement system effectively.

Requirements - Procurement Staff (AHTS Vessel)Education:
  • Minimum Diploma/Bachelors degree in Engineering, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Maritime background (nautical/technical) is a plus.

Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in the procurement field, preferably in the shipping or offshore vessel industry (AHTS/Tug/Barge).

  • Familiar with purchasing ship spare parts, safety equipment, and marine supplies.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge of basic marine components such as main engine, auxiliary engine, hydraulic systems, and safety equipment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Experienced in using ERP or e-Procurement systems

  • Good communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, especially in technical and commercial contexts.

Work Attitude and Ethics:
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.

  • High integrity, responsible, and trustworthy in handling procurement processes.

  • Able to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possesses an existing database of trusted vendors/suppliers, especially in marine and offshore equipment.

  • Experience in a ship management or maritime company is highly desirable.
