Vice President of Land Acquisition

Role & Responsibilities :

As the Vice President of Land Acquisition, you will oversee and lead the land acquisition, legal, and permitting functions to support the companys property development and investment strategies. You will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, securing strategic land assets, and managing end-to-end permit processes efficiently.

  • Lead and manage the overall land acquisition strategy, including identification, negotiation, due diligence, and securing land ownership or rights.

  • Supervise legal and permitting teams to ensure all property development activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of all legal documents related to land acquisition, licensing, and development.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, notaries, law firms, and local communities to support smooth land and permit processes.

  • Monitor and manage legal risks associated with land use, zoning, licensing, and disputes.

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for efficient permit acquisition in alignment with project timelines.

  • Ensure timely submission and approval of all development-related permits, including location permits, KKPR, environmental permits, and building permits (IMB/PBG).

  • Provide legal insight and strategic advice to senior management on land-related issues.

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across legal, permit, and land functions to drive operational excellence.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Law (mandatory).

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in land acquisition, legal, and permitting, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Deep understanding of land law, property regulations, title types (SHM, SHGB, HGB, HPL), and land acquisition procedures in Indonesia.

  • Proven experience in navigating complex regulatory environments and working closely with government institutions.

  • Strong knowledge of permit processes including KKPR, IMB/PBG, and AMDAL.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage legal risks, resolve disputes, and ensure full legal and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to align legal and land strategies with corporate goals.
