Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for collecting data from various relevant sources and ensuring its relevance to the data migration process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify data requirements supporting system development and ensure the developed system can efficiently process data in alignment with business objectives.

• Conduct data cleansing activities to eliminate errors, duplication, and inconsistencies, ensuring high data quality.

• Partner with vendors to map and clean data, oversee migration processes, and validate the accuracy and completeness of data transfers.

• Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools to support data analysis and reporting needs.

• Ensure effective data presentation and visualization to facilitate data-driven decision-making for business stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related IT disciplines.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data systems.

• Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Extract, Transform, Load), data warehousing, Management Information Systems (MIS), and big data technologies.

• Experience in data visualization and reporting using Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.

• Expertise in ETL tools and technologies, such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).

• Solid understanding of database systems, including MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle DB.

• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) for data pipeline management and process automation.

• Strong knowledge of Tableau for data visualization, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and report generation.

• Understanding of best practices in data visualization and storytelling to enhance business insights.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on effective data governance and management.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with data science teams, Business Intelligence (BI) professionals, and other business stakeholders to handle and process large-scale datasets.

• Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights through visual storytelling.
