• Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all structures are designed in accordance with the basis of Design and relevant codes and specifications.
  • Manage all preliminary and detailed structural engineering design and provide all installation-related calculations, procedure development.
  • Oversee and be primary responsible for the development of the weight report methodology inclusive of facilities.
  • Provide supervision and functional guidance to other project team members as necessary.
  • Prepare all structural analysis, design, and engineering work during preliminary engineering ensuring adequate coverage from a structural perspective, of all fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases including: CPP & Wellhead platform preliminary structural design, Jacket & Topsides, Floating Storage and/or fixed production facilities design philosophy
  • Interface with other discipline lead engineers to ensure they are kept fully apprised of structural activities, and that such activities are consistent with the direction provided by the Lead Project Development Engineer.
  • Ensure that structural design reports, drawings, data, re-usable computer modeling are available and that an input deck to a commercially available analysis program is provided.

• Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of structural design and construction experience of which a minimum of 10 years in the design, fabrication, and installation of offshore platforms.
  • Strong technical/engineering skills and knowledge of codes and standards in the structural area, plus a working knowledge of other discipline activities with impact on structures.
  • Ability to lead and interface within multi-discipline Company and contractor engineering and fabrication teams.
  • Good verbal and written skills in the English language.
  • Ability to cope in a positive and productive manner within a high-pressure environment, while handling a large amount of detail as expected in large Projects with aggressive schedules.
