Senior PHP Developer

We are looking for a skilled WHMCS PHP Developer who also has experience in frontend/UI development. You will be able to manage, customize, and enhance our WHMCS-based billing and automation platform. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with WHMCS module development, PHP, MySQL, and web integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom WHMCS modules, hooks, and templates.
  • Customize WHMCS templates using Smarty, Bootstrap, and HTML/CSS.
  • Improve the user experience (UX) and interface design of client and admin areas.
  • Integrate WHMCS with external APIs (e.g., payment gateways, domain registrars, SSL providers).
  • Customize existing WHMCS features to meet business requirements.
  • Implement and maintain automation for billing, provisioning, and user management.
  • Debug, test, and resolve issues in the WHMCS environment.
  • Ensure compatibility across WHMCS versions and follow best practices.
  • Document all development work, configurations, and customizations.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of WHMCS architecture, module development, and template engine (Smarty).
  • Proficient in PHP, MySQL, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and JSON/XML data structures.
  • Experience with responsive design and modern web UI practices.
  • Familiarity with cPanel, Plesk, or other web hosting automation platforms.
  • Understanding of web security best practices (SSL, input validation, etc.).
  • Version control experience (Git).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (designers, backend devs, stakeholders).

Preferable:

  • Experience with Laravel or Symfony.
  • Understanding of DNS, hosting, SSL and domain provisioning workflows.
  • WHMCS certifications or contributions to the WHMCS marketplace.

Note: This is a remote part-time job with a monthly payment, contracted for 12 months. The talent must be responsive and on standby if a client task arises. All tasks must be acknowledged and ideally completed within 1x24 hours. The number stated above reflects the monthly payment range, and performance will be evaluated monthly.
