Transport Assistant Manager

Position : Transport Assistant Manager

Responsibilities :

1. Overseeing and coordinating the transportation operations of a company or organization

2. Ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining compliance with regulations, and optimizing transportation routes and schedules

3. Managing regularly transportation operations

4. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods

5. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. Monitor vehicle maintenance and safety protocols

6. Assist in budgeting and cost control measures related to transportation activities

7. Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities

8. Provide guidance and support to transport team

Requirements :

1. Bachelors Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within Logistics Transportation or similar role is typically required

3. Experience in handling Retail customer

4. Understanding of Transportation Logistics, regulations and it best practices also understanding for Transport Management System (TMS) and Control Tower will be an advantage

5. Ability to coordinate schedules, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively

6. Capability to address operational challenges and implement solutions

7. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and delegate responsibilities

8. Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions

9. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders

10. Computer Literate (Ms. Office)

11. Fluent in English both Oral and Written
