Posisi Overview

Bina Bangsa School is seeking an experienced and passionate Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Chemistry. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject expertise, a commitment to academic excellence, and the ability to engage and inspire students in both theoretical and practical chemistry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Chemistry in alignment with Cambridge International standards.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured lessons that promote conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry.
  • Design and administer formative and summative assessments aligned with Cambridge assessment objectives.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external Cambridge examinations.
  • Conduct practical laboratory sessions safely and effectively, ensuring adherence to laboratory safety procedures.
  • Monitor student progress using data-informed strategies and provide timely feedback.
  • Integrate technology into teaching and learning, leveraging the school’s Apple Distinguished School environment.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic expectations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, Heads of Department, and school leadership to support curriculum development and school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development, meetings, school events, and assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, teaching licence, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Chemistry.
  • Strong understanding of Cambridge syllabi, assessment objectives, command words, and examination techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage laboratory work and ensure student safety.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to student welfare.
  • Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in an international school environment.
  • Consistent record of strong student outcomes in Cambridge examinations.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and inquiry-based science education.
  • Willingness to contribute beyond the classroom to the wider school community.
