Role Overview

As our Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be the gatekeeper of quality and reliability for our high-stakes mobile ecosystems. This role demands a unique combination of traditional mobile automation expertise and forward-thinking QA methodologies tailored for artificial intelligence and machine learning components.

You will own the automated testing strategy end-to-end—ensuring our mobile apps, complex transactional APIs, and AI-driven features operate flawlessly. Your mission is to build and scale a robust automation framework that seamlessly plugs into our deployment pipelines, enabling rapid releases without sacrificing stability or user trust.

Core Responsibilities
  • Mobile Automation Frameworks: Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) from the ground up.
  • AI & Machine Learning Validation: Architect and implement a deterministic QA automation framework specifically designed to test, validate, and monitor the outputs of our integrated AI models and automated features.
  • API & Integration Testing: Develop deep, end-to-end automated testing suites for high-throughput REST APIs to validate data integrity, edge-case handling, and error states.
  • CI/CD Integration: Own the integration of automated testing pipelines (smoke, regression, and functional tests) into the CI/CD release cycle, blocking flawed code before it reaches staging or production environments.
  • Performance & Security Guardrails: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing across mobile clients and underlying APIs to identify latency bottlenecks and concurrency issues.
Technical Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on native or cross-platform mobile application testing.
  • AI Automation Mastery (Must-Have): Proven, hands-on experience building automated testing frameworks designed to handle non-deterministic AI/ML systems, data pipelines, or LLM-driven application features.
  • Mobile Tooling: Expert-level proficiency with mobile automation tools and frameworks such as Katalon, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Browserstack.
  • API & Backend Testing: Strong experience with API automation tools (Postman, Newman, RestAssured, or custom Python/Go scripts).
  • CI/CD Infrastructure: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining automated testing steps within pipelines like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Crypto Knowledge (Plus): Familiarity with digital asset applications, cryptographic wallet states, or transaction lifecycle validation is highly preferred.
Soft Skills & Experience
  • Analytical Mindset: An exceptional ability to break down complex, multi-layered system architectures to pinpoint exactly where an automated test failure originated.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communicative pairing skills to collaborate directly with DevOps, Mobile Developers, and Data/AI Engineers.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly valued.

  • Device Fragmentation: Ensuring the automated suite handles biometrics, secure storage, and complex push notification flows reliably across an array of fragmented iOS and Android devices.

  • Morning: Analyzing a failure in the nightly mobile regression suite run on a real-device cloud matrix to check if a recent API update broke the onboarding flow.

  • Evening: Tweaking a GitHub Actions workflow to parallelize mobile tests, cutting down build feedback time from 40 minutes to under 10.
